Plau Gin & Beer House

Things you didn’t know you needed until right now – Caramelised Rhubarb & Goats Cheese Tart and White Chocolate, Cardamom Raspberry Tart from Plau Gin & Beer House 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Wow, simply wow!!!🥰

It’s not a secret Plau is one of my favourite places in Preston, so when the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme was introduced I didn’t think twice where to go for a meal out! 🤪🥰

Let me start off by saying customer service was awesome! 👏 Yes, we had to wait quite a while, but we had our drinks, so it didn’t bother me that much! 🤪🍷

We started with Garlic & Chilli King Prawns (£8), 6oz Hanger Steak (£8.50) and Caramelised Rhubarb & Goats Cheese Tart (£6)! In short – Prawns were delish, but slightly over salted; steak was quite average, but goat cheese tart was total hit!!!! 🔥🥰 Sooooo good 🤤🤤🤤The combination of Caramelised Rhubarb, goat cheese and pickled beets was something out of this world! 😱
Try it please, you won’t regret!!!! 🥰

For the mains we tried Lavender Glazed Duck Breast (£18.50), Raspberry Poached Salmon Fillet (£17.00), Chicken Breast Nasi Goreng (£14.00) and Skin-on Fries (£3.00). Skin-on fries were on point! 👌🥰 All 3 mains were good and very interesting, but I was a bit missing some sharp accents in all of them 🤔 In theory they supposed to be there, as all 3 dishes had unique ingredients, but on practice they were not that intense! (But it was still yummy! 🥰)

We all agreed that the hero of the night (together with the goats cheese, of course) was White Chocolate, Cardamom & Raspberry Tart (£5.50) 🥰 Wow, what a combination of flavours!!!! It took my heart straight away from the first bite! 🥰 Everything about this dessert goes together in ways I can’t even explain… And I thought I wasn’t a big fan of desserts… what a silly girl!🤦‍♀️😂😂😂

So overall, we had a highly enjoyable evening – great service, lovely atmosphere, yummy food, smashing presentation (Is it very bad if I had a thought of steeling their plates for a second? 🤫😂) Always so classy! 🥰😂👌

It’s not the cheapest place to eat out in Preston, but it’s worth it, especially now when the guys are taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme 🤑 So if you haven’t tried them yet, I honestly don’t know what you are waiting for! 🤷‍♀️
